Ktima Papaioannou Dryofilos (Cabernet Sauvignon) is a single-variety dry red wine made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from organic vineyards in Nemea (PGI Peloponnese).

  • Appearance: Deep, intense crimson.
  • Aromas: A complex bouquet where black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant) coexist with aromas of cedar, spices, cocoa and subtle vanilla from the oak.
  • Palate: Rich and full-bodied. It features robust yet well-structured tannins and balanced acidity.
  • Vinification: Follows the classic red vinification method and matures for 6–8 months in French oak barrels, which imparts its characteristic "woody" profile (hence the name Dryofilos, meaning "friend of the oak"). After barreling, it rests for at least 12 months in the estate's underground cellar before being released to the market.
  • Aging Potential: A wine with great longevity. It can be enjoyed now but evolves excellently for 5 to 10 years from the harvest, developing a more velvety texture and tertiary aromas (leather, smoke).

It ideally pairs with red meats (grilled or roasted), game, rich spicy sauces and mature yellow cheeses. Best served at 17–18°C.
